Steve oversees the Kansas City and St. Louis regional practices of BKD Wealth Advisors that manage or consult on over $500 million for high-net-worth families and institutions.

He has 14 years of investment industry experience, including working as a senior analyst for a $25 billion mutual fund and as a senior equity analyst for an investment brokerage firm recommending equity investments to both domestic and international institutional clients.

Steve has published numerous industry and company-specific equity research reports and has been quoted in several national financial publications, including Investor’s Business Daily and Bloomberg, as well as local publications such as the Kansas City Star and Ingram’s Magazine. He also was recognized as a candidate in the “Up & Coming Analyst” category in Institutional Investor Magazine’s All-Star Analyst survey in 2000.

Steve graduated in 1985 from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with a B.S. in marketing and an MBA in Finance in 1989. He completed the IMCA Investment Management Analyst Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia, and has earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation. He has also completed the IMCA Endowment & Foundation certificate program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia.
