Rick has more than 20 years of experience in the investment industry, including managing individual stock and bond portfolios for high net-worth families, endowments, foundations and retirement plans.

Rick is responsible for risk analysis and portfolio management, including custom-designed portfolios of individual securities, mutual funds or institutional portfolio managers.  He is a member of the BKD Wealth Advisors Investment Committee, which establishes firmwide investment strategy.  Before joining BKD, he was a member of a mutual fund analyst team responsible for recommending stock additions and deletions to the fund for his assigned area.

Rick is a member of the Financial Planning Association.  He is a 1981 graduate of Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, with a B.S. degree in business administration.  He holds the certified financial planner (CFP®) professional designation and is pursuing the chartered financial analyst (CFA®) charterholder designation.
